Hello, I’m Yael. I am a mother of three and a proud grandmother to River and Eitan.
I am an Israeli author, and this is my debut book in Israel and my first work published internationally. This meaningful book was born from a serendipitous meeting with Eve Eliah—a stunning and formidable woman who chose to entrust me with her journey and her profound inner longing to transition from man to woman. To me, however, this has never been merely a story about gender transition.
It is a narrative of identity, bravery, family, and the sacrifices one is willing to make to live in alignment with who they truly are. It is equally a story about the circle of loved ones—about love that must evolve, bonds tested by change, and the extent to which we can truly embrace those we love as they transform before our eyes. I believe a good book should not hand readers easy answers; rather, it should bring them into the heart of another human experience, allowing them, even momentarily, to walk in someone else’s shoes.
I want to thank Eve for the honor of bringing her inspiring story to life, and for her dedication to offering understanding and support to parents, as well as hope and positivity to children.
