The year is 1970. Lost and shattered after his wife’s infidelity, Michael Yam is dispatched to England to recruit Jalal, the son of the Egyptian president who lives in London and studies economics, to be an informant for Israel. Michael, trailing Jalal, meticulously assesses his strengths and weaknesses to exert pressure and intimidation over the young Egyptian. He discovers that Jalal was exiled from Egypt by his father, despite being designated as his successor, due to his sexual preferences. As an outcast from his family, Jalal pays a high personal price, compounded by the murder of his lover, Amin, orchestrated by his father’s agents.
